Halcyon Miniatures releases set two as singles and value set

The boutique miniature range which came to Alternative Armies this year now makes its second round of releases! Halcyon Miniatures is manufactured by us in agreement with its Nottingham based sculptor. This second round joins the first in 28mm scale metal science fiction. 

 

Following up on the Storm Troopers, Psi-Operative and others we have Assault Infantry with Shields plus their Commissar and the chainsaw wielding Priest of Truth. Useful in any game system. 

 

All miniatures in this range are ‘tabbed’ meaning they use a slot base. Extra value is given by us in that we supply a resin circular slot base free with every figure purchased from Halcyon. These are as shown in the painted examples and are 59034 Wide Slot Base. 

 

Above is a scale line up featuring Alternia Cyberpunk, the Commissar of Truth, the (free until 9th May in all orders automatically) War Bot II and the Priest of Truth. As you can see they match up well. Every miniature in the Halcyon Range comes as a single with its free base but there are now also two set packs which contain each round of miniatures with a built in saving. 

 

From the dawn of the golden age the classic Asgard Space Marines. Returned to the world with care these miniatures are singles and a value set of all with saving. Despite being more than four decades ago in the design they are timeless and great for any system.

New scatter scenics for Erin Celtic Myth 28mm Range

Three new scatter terrain models are now in the Erin Celtic Myth range for your collecting.  The first of what will become many these items populate your table or your dioramas or even the bases of such monsters as Morc of Chicol or Culach the Lord of the Fomorians.  They have, as with EVERY other code in the range, been added to the All of Erin Bundle which gives you everything in the range with a 5% saving built in.

Todoroni Giovanile Aide released and free Flintloque rules for Todoroni too

“Who you callin Boy!”  The Todoroni of Nepolise gain another character miniature in their range.  Following the Surgeon, Exploring Officer, Glutton, Opera Singer, Servants and others this time Nikki Chatwin has sculpted a youth for your sections and units.

Allied to the Ferach Empire and serving from Catalucia to the Witchlands the Todoroni are figures of fun but also troops of merit too.  Along with this new release we have the promised updated and complete free PDF article with game rules for all of these new miniatures.

This Todoroni youth has been conscripted to act as a runner or messenger for his superiors. With a pistol in one hand and a message in the other he is rather scared! Warlords of the Shia Khan new big 28mm Ion Age releases and more

“It was the appearance of Warlords among the ranks of the Khanate that led to the development of the Duxis and other marks of Battlesuits. Battlesuits are fashioned to be giant humanoids to wage war against actual giant humanoids. A nightmare of giants who could lift a man from the ground and smash him to pieces with ease. The Warlords are flesh and blood but hulking creatures much like a Human in form though standing twice or more the height of a man. They are commonly referred to as ‘Ogres’ and are another Khanate slave race. Warlords are often under the command of Legionaries and are used as the infantry hammer to smash into tough areas for the Khanate. They carry the largest of infantry and support type weapons such as the Maia 12.7mm Chain Cannon which is also found used in Legionary Portable Weapon Platforms. Not possessed of a great deal of intelligence they are, despite this, the most dangerous soldier yet encountered by the Prydian Army. Warlords operate in small groups of two to four or five within Legionary platoons and are never given command of even a force of that level.” - from The Khanate Return.

Big and Brutal it is our pleasure to present news and release for the Warlords of the Shia Khan in the  28mm Ion Age Range.  Now on the website are THREE different 45mm tall miniatures in both metal and now in resin versions too.  Metal for the purist and collector resin for everyone else.  While two of these three are the original 1990’s sculpts in new molds the third one, new IA239, was created by Matt Beauchamp (who has sculpted many miniatures for Flintloque including the Trolka) and fits right in!

Five new resin slot codes added to our wide array of bases

With the welcoming of Halcyon Miniatures to Alternative Armies we took on our first miniatures without integral bases of their own.  Thus ‘slot bases’ were created by us to be supplied for free with every Halcyon figure; which have ‘tabs’ under them.  We originally had no intention of offering them on their own but you asked and we provide!  

Now on our Bases for Miniatures pages are five sizes in two types of slot bases in resin.  A small 20mm round base ideal for familiars and very small creatures.  A 30mm round base for Human sized miniatures and a 40mm round base for Ogres and other larger miniatures.  The other type is denoted ‘W’ for Wide and comes in 30mm and 40mm round with a wider slot for those miniatures with thicker tabs.  All these can be had in packs of ten or select a single base in any amount on the page.

We have a wide array of resin bases in our range from 20mm round to 100mm round and 20mm square to 50mm square plus others such as Troop Element Trays, Lifter Bases, specialist sized bases and Sengoku Monster Hunter Tokens.

As well as those offerings we have many different sizes of metal bases as well for those who wish weight under their miniatures such as the popular thin 16mm round for 15mm scale miniatures. Also flying bases for bikes and plastic display domes for your painted miniatures.

Sitting this one out three new 15mm ECW wounded released

Releases continue to expand our new 17th century for English Civil War in 15mm range which now contains sixty poses.  These three casualties give the sitting wounded of the King or of Parliament to use with any game system including Furioso.  Remember we have pre-made armies with saving and free bases for Furioso English Civil War too.

New 15mm Ogre Mercenaries packs and singles released

Now added to the massive array of our own HOT 15mm Fantasy Range are six new Ogres.  These join over one hundred and fifty other packs each of which offers the pack as well as a ‘sampler’ option on screen for skirmishing.  

Big and brutish these Ogres fit right in with the existing ones we have and give you armoured options as well as different weapons.  Taking us up to a total of fifteen different Ogres to choose from.  As with the others there are Value Packs giving a saving built in.  Look for HOT3O, HOT148O and HOT151O in the range.  Each is about 25mm total height.
